Governor issues flags at half-staff tomorrow for Pearl Harbor Day
A proclamation also declares tomorrow “Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day”
Salem, Oregon—Governor Theodore R. Kulongoski proclaimed tomorrow “Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day” and asked that all flags at public institutions be flown at half-staff on Thursday, December 7, 2006 in remembrance of the 65th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.
“On this 65th anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day, we should take a moment to think about the veterans who gave their lives fighting for their country,” Governor Kulongoski said. “Pearl Harbor Day is a day not only to remember the veterans of past, but to also remember the men and women currently serving overseas.”
