Governor Appoints District Attorney for Grant County
 
(Salem, OR) – Today Governor Kulongoski announced the appointment of Christie Timko as District Attorney for Grant County, effective January 1, 2006.  Current District Attorney Lee Carter resigned effective at midnight December 31, 2005.   
 
“I am very pleased to appoint Christie Timko as Grant County District Attorney,” Governor Kulongoski said.  “Christie has the experience and skills that are important for a District Attorney and will be an asset to Grant County.”
 
Ms. Timko graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Psychology and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from University of Oregon School of Law.  Ms. Timko currently serves as the Deputy District Attorney for Harney County and has worked for Harney County since 2002.  Previously, Ms. Timko served as a Deputy Attorney General, Natural Resource Division, in Boise, Idaho.
