Governor orders flags at half-staff for September 11
Flags to be lowered Friday, September 11, 2009, in remembrance of those lost on 9/11
(Salem) – Today Governor Ted Kulongoski ordered all flags at public institutions be flown at half-staff throughout Oregon on Friday, September 11, 2009, in remembrance of the events of September 11, 2001.
“It’s important to pause and reflect on the events that touched us all so deeply eight years ago,” Governor Ted Kulongoski said. “While another year has passed, we will always remember our fellow Americans who lost their lives in the tragic events that took place on that day.”
