Governor Orders Flags at Half-Staff in Honor of Patriot Day
Flags to be lowered Thursday, September 11, 2008, in observance of Patriot Day
(Salem)– Today Governor Ted Kulongoski ordered all flags at public institutions be flown at half-staff throughout Oregon on Thursday, September 11, 2008, in observance of Patriot Day.
“It’s important to pause and reflect on the events that touched us all so deeply seven years ago,” Governor Ted Kulongoski said. “While another year has passed, we will always remember our fellow Americans who lost their lives in the tragic events that took place on this day in 2001.”
