Governor Kulongoski Announces Judicial Appointment
Stephen K. Bushong Appointed to the Multnomah County Circuit Court

Salem – Governor Ted Kulongoski today announced his appointment of Stephen K. Bushong to the Multnomah County Circuit Court.  Judge Bushong will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Ronald Cinniger, who retires from the bench December 31, 2007.

“I’ve known Steve since I was the Attorney General and he is a brilliant, dedicated lawyer who has handled much of the state’s major litigation while with the Department of Justice,” said Governor Kulongoski. “The court gains a great deal of experience and energy with this appointment.”

Steve Bushong received his JD from University of Michigan in 1984.  Bushong is Chief Trial Counsel at the Oregon Department of Justice, where he has served as an Assistant Attorney General since 1994.  Prior to DOJ, he was an associate at the Miller, Nash firm in Portland.
