Governor Wishes Oregon Families a Safe and Happy Holiday
The Governor also wants to remind everyone to remember those men and women serving overseas and the less fortunate

Salem - Governor Kulongoski wished all Oregonians a happy Thanksgiving holiday today and encouraged everybody to remember those serving overseas and the less fortunate who may not have a Thanksgiving meal.

“Thanksgiving is a time for friends and family and I wish everyone an enjoyable holiday,” said Governor Kulongoski. “I also want to remind Oregonians to please remember the men and women serving overseas that cannot be with their families and those who are struggling with putting food on the table this year.”

People wishing to help the less fortunate can donate to the Oregon Food Bank. More information about how to donate to the Oregon Food Bank can be found at: www.oregonfoodbank.org.

While remembering the less fortunate, the Governor also wants to remind everyone to travel safe on the crowded roadways.

“With increased traffic on Oregon roads during the holiday, I hope everyone will wear their seatbelts and use extra caution as they travel to the homes of their loved ones,” said Governor Kulongoski.
