Governor Kulongoski Announces Lane County Judicial Appointments
Mustafa Kasubhai and Charles Zennaché Appointed to the Lane County Circuit Court

Salem - Governor Ted Kulongoski today announced the appointment of Mustafa Kasubhai and Charles Zennaché to the Lane County Circuit Court.  Both will fill the vacancies created by the retirement of Judge Darryl Larson and Judge Lyle Velure, who retired from the bench in June 2007.

“I am pleased to appoint two excellent lawyers to the Lane County bench,” said Governor Kulongoski. “Mustafa Kasubhai and Charles Zennaché will each bring intelligence, experience and ideal judicial temperaments to their new role as judges.”

Mustapha Kasubhai received his J.D. from University of Oregon School of Law in 1996.  Kasubhai is a member of the Oregon Workers’ Compensation Board; he was appointed to that position by the Governor in 2003.  Prior to his service on the Board, Kasubhai practiced civil personal injury, worker’s compensation and employment law in Eugene and Klamath Falls.  He is also a member of the Oregon Law Commission.

Charles Zennaché received his J.D. from University of Oregon School of Law in 1988.  He is a partner in the firm Chanti & Zennaché, P.C., in Eugene, where he focuses on domestic relations law. In his 19 years of practicing law in Lane County, he has practiced civil rights law, employment law, commercial bankruptcy and litigation, and misdemeanor prosecution.  He is also a member of the Eugene Police Commission.
