Governor Kulongoski Appoints Coos County District Attorney
R. Paul Frasier will replace retiring District Attorney Paul Burgett
 
Salem - Governor Kulongoski today announced the appointment of R. Paul Frasier as the Coos County District Attorney beginning January 1, 2008.  Frasier will fill the vacancy to be created by the retirement of Paul Burgett. 
 
“Mr. Frasier will serve the people of Coos County with integrity and dedication,” Governor Kulongoski said.  “He brings years of leadership and prosecutorial experience to his new role as the District Attorney.” 
 
Mr. Frasier has been a prosecutor in Coos County for seventeen years and has been the Chief Deputy District Attorney since 2001.  He previously served as a Special Prosecutor and Forfeiture Counsel to the South Coast Inter-Agency Narcotics Team and as a Deputy District Attorney in Josephine County.  He graduated from Willamette University College of Law in 1984.
