Governor Announces Judicial Vacancy on Washington County Circuit Court
Judge Alexander to retire from Washington County Circuit Bench
Salem—Governor Ted Kulongoski announced today that he is accepting applications for a judicial position on the Washington County Circuit Court to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Timothy P. Alexander, effective December 31, 2007.
The Governor thanked Judge Alexander for his service to the State and Washington County.
Governor Kulongoski fills judicial vacancies based on merit and encourages applications from lawyers with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. ORS 3.041 and 3.050 provides the qualification requirements for appointment to the circuit court bench.
Applicants must submit an Interest Form for Judicial Appointments to the Governor’s office, which is available online at: http://governor.oregon.gov/Gov/boards.shtml#judicial
Interest forms must be received by the Governor’s Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2007.
